WEEK ELEVEN: March 25 & 27
Description: This week, we will experience the food of Jerusalem. On Tuesday, we will discuss and taste a sampling of Jerusalem culinary offerings. I will make available recipes from the Jerusalem cookbook, but feel free to look up recipes or bring in food inspired by your families’ traditions. Think about how Jerusalem’s diversity has impacted its food. We will consider and discuss the topics of cultural appropriation vs. melting pot culture. On Thursday, we will wrap up the semester with a final class discussion—feel free to bring up previous topics, comment on issues raised in the blogs, ask questions about projects, or discuss topics related to Jerusalem.
